On Saturday, September 4, Attic Group roof space conversion consultants, Emmory Sommerton and Yosip Kasunic attended the MBA Excellence in Housing Awards at the Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre in Darling Harbour where it was announced that Attic Group had won the Roof and Attic Conversion $200,001-Plus Category.
The project entered for the MBA Awards was a Californian bungalow in Bellevue Hills in NSW. The house had spectacular views to the north across Sydney Harbour and east to the ocean and the renovation that Attic Group completed has helped the owners make the most of them. “It really was a view with maximizing and impossible to give up”, says Attic Group’s Emmory Sommerton.
By creating a second level, the Attic Group, using plans from the Ark Design Studio, was able to add an extra 103 square meters of serene living space and increase the home’s internal size by 60 percent.
MBA Judge, Lloyd Austin, says the renovation created a value for money addition for the lucky owners and that he’s very impressed with the finished product.
“Not only is this a thrilling and exciting win for us but also a great acknowledgement of our passion and dedication to working closely with our clients, providing fantastic service and delivering quality results,” says Attic Group CEO, John Stewart.
